Chris Beaumont, C.Psychol., M.Sc.
Sport & Exercise Psychologist
Chris is a registered Sport & Exercise Psychologist with the Health Care Professions Council and a chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society. Chris has worked as an applied Sport Psychologist at all levels of sport from International level, with athletes competing at World Championships and European Games, professional domestic-level athletes, right the way through to amateur and grassroots level. He has worked in a wide variety of sports including football, cricket, netball, swimming, cycling, boxing, track athletics, endurance athletics, rock climbing and golf.
Chris has worked with England Netball, helping the youth team to reach the semi-finals of the 2013 World Championships. He has worked at Preston North End FC as a member of support staff for the youth team, and as a consultant within the academy at Leeds United FC, helping in the development of young athletes. He also acts as a consultant to a number of swimming clubs in the North West of England, having worked with a European junior gold, and bronze, medalist. As well as this, Chris works with a number of private clients from a variety of different sports.
On top of his applied Sport Psychology work, Chris has previously worked part-time as an Associate Lecturer in Sport Psychology at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). Here, he taught sport psychology through seminars, workshops, and lectures to undergraduate students at all levels of the degree pathway, as well as to postgraduate students.
